UK-UbiNet: The UK Ubiquitous Computing Network

Events

UK-UbiNet is an EPSRC funded network of research which brings together academic researchers within the UK to build a multi-disciplinary community covering the broad aspects of ubiquitous computing, including the technology, human factors and socio-economic issues. Although the emphasis is on a network of academic researchers, we welcome involvement from industry and will work closely with the DTI Next Wave Technologies initiative to involve industry and to have joint workshops.

UK-UbiNet is also supporting the activities of the UKCRC Grand Challenge in Ubiquitous Computing (UbiCompGC). This is now a single activity which combines both the Science (theory) with the Engineering (systems) aspects of GC2 and GC4.

A description of UK-UbiNet objectives, research issues and the management aspects of the network can be found here. This website is maintained and updated regularly, so please keep revisiting this website for updates on various events planned by the UK-UbiNet in particular and the ubiquitous computing research community in general. You will find details of such events on the EVENTS page.

You may subscribe to our mailing list if you wish to be advised of forthcoming network and other UK ubiquitous computing events.
